The key business area of Prolan Process Control Co. is the development, production, and application of process control systems; providing complex services including design, software and hardware development, installation, and after sales support services. Prolan has developed its own Remote Terminal Unit (RTU), the ProField family, especially for use in electricity distribution networks' medium and high voltage transformer substations. In recent years more than a hundred and fifty were installed in the Hungarian electricity network system. Today Prolan is the market-leader of transformer substations for process control in Hungary.

Prolan also develops SCADA centres. The UNIX-based Xgram system is used in a significant number of electricity distribution centres, in the chemical industry, municipal networks and is used for railway applications.

Prolan also developed several versions of radio ripple control receiver since 2006. We are since then active in the energy management field, specifically focusing on the demand response technologies.

Prolan is manufacturing its electronic products at its own modern equipped electronics factory  in Budapest.

The further phases of the application - the configuration of the equipment, installation, etc. - are done at  company headquarters on the outskirts of Budapest.
