European Commission releases this morning its Communication "Smart Grids: from innovation to deployment"

Commissioner for Energy, Günther Oettinger pointed out that "some pilot projects suggest that actual energy savings can be even higher: the most developed pilot projects in UK have shown that residents have been able to save 40% of their electricity consumption."
