Taking place from 20-22 February in Essen, Germany, ESMIG is delighted to be exhibiting alongside members at this major event for the energy industry. E-world energy & water is where the European energy industry comes together. Serving as an information platform for the energy sector, E-world gathers international decision makers in Essen each year and welcomes visitors from 67 nations.
The conference and exhibition will take a deep dive into innovative solutions for the future of energy supply – ranging from energy production, transport and storage to energy trading, efficiency and green technologies.
ESMIG will host a community booth with members Iskraemeco, Logarex Smart Metering, Wirepas and Cuculus in Hall 5 as well as a forum session titled ”European Perspectives on Smart Metering” on 21 February from 11:30-13:00 in the Future Forum in Hall 5. This session will gather panelists to explore best practices for the smart meter roll-out across the EU.
With smart meters being key enablers for accelerating the twin digital and green energy transition and empowering consumers, this session will look at what has been achieved in recent years and examine the main challenges that will need to be addressed to bring all benefits of smart metering to consumers and utilities. Specifically, panelists will look at the smart meter roll-out in Europe and Germany as well as removing barriers on data for market participants to support the energy transition.
