Luis Goncalves, CEO of Iskraemeco, was officially confirmed as President of ESMIG on 9 January.
Luis has been a dedicated and active member of ESMIG’s Executive Committee and has held the position of Vice-President since June 2022, helping to drive ESMIG as an association and tackle key issues for our industry.
The Executive Committee, led by the President, meets monthly to addresses operational issues that ensure the smooth running of the association as well as taking a strategic role in steering ESMIG’s work plan, activities, and objectives.
This collaboration ensures ESMIG continues to support a clean, fair and smart European energy transition that contributes to the creation of a competitive energy market through the development of architectures and open standards that allow efficient implementation and integration of new energy management technologies and services.
Following his appointment Luis stated ‘’ESMIG is an association that represents European industry and European countries in supporting critical infrastructure to manage the current and long-term challenges in the energy sector. We are committed to supporting the association in achieving its objectives and collaborating with authorities and other members to build reliable and sustainable infrastructure in Europe.’’
