MicroEJ joins ESMIG

We are delighted to welcome MicroEJ as the newest member of ESMIG.

MicroEJ, based in Nantes, France, brings the flexibility of software-defined development to embedded systems, enabling app-based ecosystems for IoT, industrial, and energy devices. With over 300 million MICROEJ VEE IPs sold worldwide, their software containerization platform transforms smart meters, industrial gateways, and consumer electronics, into dynamic, updatable, and scalable devices. By decoupling software from hardware, they enable manufacturers to optimise low-power devices, integrate cloud and connectivity standards, and drive new revenue models through app-driven experiences.

In the energy sector, VEE Energy allows utilities to create an app-enabled smart grid, enhancing distributed energy resource management (DERs) for solar, EVs, and home appliances. It provides real-time insights, seamless remote updates, and enhanced security in line with CISA guidance.

“We’re excited to become a member of the European Association of Smart Energy Solution Providers. As the energy landscape continues to transform, the deployment of grid-edge intelligence is key to enhancing energy efficiency and control. With our VEE Energy platform, MicroEJ supports utilities and technology providers in leveraging real-time data and deploying intelligent, scalable solutions. Together, we are shaping the future of smart grids.”

– Fred Rivard, CEO, MicroEJ

We look forward to integrating the MicroEJ team into our workstreams and seeing where this exciting new partnership goes!
